Discharge | Aurora

Discharge: Aurora is a contained chromatic field defined by perspective rather than image. The piece reads cyan and green from one angle, magenta and pink from another, gold or violet from a third — its color is not fixed, it is a function of how you stand in front of it. The light source becomes inseparable from the viewer's position.

Three internal LED tubes radiate through a color-changing iridescent inner acrylic panel, then through a frosted transparent outer enclosure. The dual-layer construction softens emission into atmosphere: the outer layer scatters edges, the inner layer modulates hue, the tubes carry intensity. What's visible is not the source but its diffusion — a luminous boundary that the wall around it picks up as a soft prismatic halo.

Discharge: Aurora is a wall-mounted light object that exists between artwork and illumination. It introduces color through perspective, glow through restraint, and presence through chromatic instability rather than brightness.
